Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the Executive Director to determine if their projects fall within the interest of the Fund for future consideration.
The Kettering Fund is an organization that primarily supports qualifying organizations in the State of Ohio. The Fund holds semi-annual meetings in May and November. Please review the information below in order to determine whether your organization is a good match for the Fund's grant making priorities.
Unsolicited requests will be reviewed only one time per calendar year from the same requesting organization and/or program.
Follow-up or New Proposals: Proposals from previously approved organizations or programs will not be considered if: 1) grant funds received have not fully been used to complete a designated purpose or 2) the approved grant shows no sign of being completed in the projected time. The distribution committee reserves the right to approve a new grant if assurances can be received that the previous grant's objectives will be completed in a timely manner.

- Cultural/Arts/Humanities
- Education
- Environment
- Medical/Health
- Human Services
- Public/Society Benefit
Requests for funding toward the following areas ARE RARELY approved by the distribution committee:
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Individual public elementary or secondary schools or public school districts
- Local chapters of national organizations
- Grants, loans, fellowships, memberships
- Travel expenses
- Community drives, event sponsorships
- Conduit organizations
